Pakistan Army shoots down Indian quadcopter over LOC violation |Ultimate Rewinds

Pakistan Army on Tuesday claimed to have shot down an Indian spying quadcopter that violated Pakistan’s airspace along the Line of Control (LoC). According to security sources, the drone attempted to spy in the Manawar sector of the Bhimber area in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Army personnel responded swiftly and shot down the drone in a timely and professional action.

Army's Swift Response Demonstrates Vigilance

The Pakistan Army emphasized that the incident demonstrates its constant vigilance, high professional standards, and preparedness. Officials reiterated that the military remains ready to respond decisively to any hostile acts by India.

Public Solidarity with Armed Forces

Security sources added that the entire Pakistani nation firmly stands behind its armed forces in confronting any aggression on diplomatic, military, or civilian fronts.

Tensions Rise After Pahalgam Incident

This latest incident follows heightened tensions between Pakistan and India in the aftermath of the Pahalgam attack in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Over two dozen tourists, including Indian and Nepalese nationals, were killed when unidentified militants opened fire in a meadow in the popular tourist area.

India Accuses, Pakistan Responds

In the wake of the attack, India blamed Pakistan for alleged involvement — claims termed "baseless" by Islamabad. In response, India took drastic steps, including the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty.

Pakistan’s NSC Responds to Indian Actions

Following India’s "irresponsible measures", Pakistan’s National Security Committee (NSC) held a meeting and issued a strong communiqué, announcing a series of reciprocal actions:

  • Immediate closure of the Wagah Border

  • Suspension of all bilateral agreements, including the 1972 Simla Pact

  • Shutdown of Pakistani airspace for Indian flights

  • Revocation of all trade and diplomatic relations

  • Cancellation of visas issued under the SAARC scheme

  • Declaration of Indian defence, naval, and air advisers in Islamabad as persona non grata

These advisers and their staff were ordered to leave the country by April 30.

NSC Labels India’s Treaty Withdrawal as ‘Belligerence’

The NSC condemned the unilateral revocation of the Indus Waters Treaty, labelling it an act of belligerence. The communiqué expressed sorrow over the lives lost in Pahalgam but stressed that blaming Pakistan without evidence was irresponsible.
