The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) have started taking action against expired, cancelled, or deceased individuals’ CNICs (Computerized National Identity Cards). If you've received a warning, it could mean one of the following:

Your CNIC has expired

Your CNIC has been cancelled

Your CNIC belongs to someone who is deceased
In response, PTA is blocking all SIM cards that are registered under such CNICs.

Visit your nearest NADRA office or use online to renew your CNIC. -
Transfer SIMs from Deceased Persons
If you're using a SIM registered to someone who has passed away, visit a service center with their death certificate and your CNIC to transfer ownership. -
Check with PTA
If you received a warning call PTA helpline 0800-55055 to verify your status.

NADRA has cancelled over 18,000 illegally issued CNICs. The authority is now using biometric verification and stricter ID policies to ensure security.
